Include the department, your iPhone model and iOS version, and what you were doing just before the thing happened. Screenshots are welcome.
Museum of the Last Time
It finds nothing
The Museum needs repeated appearances followed by a long absence. A small or recent library may not contain enough evidence. Check that the app has access to the photographs you want it to examine; an empty collection can also be a valid result.
It has grouped two different things together
Open the placard and choose “This is not one thing.” The record is taken off the wall and kept with your correction. “This has not ended” is available for records whose conclusion is wrong.
It only shows one thing
The Today view selects one record per day. Open Collection to see the rest. Closing the Museum is optional; you can return at any time.
I don’t want a particular record on display
Choose “Take it down” on its placard. No correction or explanation is required. The record stays in the collection under Taken down, where you can put it back.

My application was denied
The surveyed area returned too few registered in-between places. Widen the radius or choose another locality. Rural and newly built areas are thin on the ground; map coverage varies a great deal from place to place.
The survey offices are not answering
The public OpenStreetMap servers are busy or down. A second office is tried automatically. Waiting a few minutes and filing again usually works.
A site on my permit is gone
The map is contributed by volunteers and the world moves faster than the map. If a site is missing or inaccessible, skip it. A permit does not grant access to private property.
Your data
- Collections and case files are stored on your device. Neither department has accounts.
- Deleting an app deletes everything it was holding.
- Both apps let you share a text copy of a record. For external service requests, see Privacy.

Suggestions may be sent to the same address. Include the department and what you would like it to do.
